Apple Pie Liqueur

1 gallon apple cider
1 gallon apple juice
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
5-7 cinnamon sticks
1 liter clear alcohol (Grappa or Everclear if you can get it or Vodka will do.)

Put the cider, juice, sugar and cinnamon sticks into a large kettle. (clean and save the jugs from the cider and juice for rebottling later.) Bring to ALMOST a boil, stir to dissolve sugar and then let cool completely. Remove the cinnamon sticks. Pour in the alcohol, mix and bottle in clean glass bottles.

Fruit Sorbet

Keep peeled, sliced fruit in your freezer stored in plastic bags. Puree the frozen pieces in a food processor or blender until smooth. If using a blender you might have to add a little fruit juice or water. Add Splenda for a sweeter treat, and a dab of yogurt to make it creamier. All sorts of fruit works well but the ones I like best are: strawberries, peaches, bananas, mangoes & pineapple.
