Apples
Raisins
Brown sugar
Butter
chopped Nuts

Pare apples half way, all around. Remove the center core and seeds with an apple corer (usually the tip of a potato peeler works fine to do this or a knife.) Be sure you don't cut through to the end.

Stuff the raisins, nuts, brown sugar and butter in the cavity. Microwave until soft (few minutes) Eat with a dollop of Cool Whip.

Red Lobster Cheddar Cheese Biscuits
(see photo insert)

1 cup shredded, sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup water
2 cups of Bisquick
1/4 cup butter
1/2 tablespoon garlic powder

Preheat oven to 450 F. In a large bowl, combine Bisquick, water, and cheese until thoroughly mixed.

Drop by spoon onto cookie sheet at least 1 inch apart.

Bake for 8-10 minutes or until tops are golden brown.

Before biscuits are done, melt butter and mix in the garlic powder. As soon as biscuits are out of the oven and still hot, brush butter mixture over tops.

Memorable Quote

"The two biggest sellers in bookstores are the cookbooks and the diet books. The cookbooks tell you how to prepare the food and the diet books tell you how not to eat any of it."
