Spinach Dip in a Pumpernickel Shell

1 round Pumpernickel bread
2 cups sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup chopped green onions
1 pkg. Knorr Vegetable Soup Mix
1 Box thawed chopped spinach
few dashes of garlic powder

Put the thawed spinach in a colander and squeeze and press out as much liquid as you can. Mix the sour cream and the mayo with the soup mix and beat well by hand until thoroughly mixed. Add the onions, spinach and garlic powder, mix well. cover and refrigerate.

Slice the top off the bread and scoop out the soft insides breaking into small pieces for dipping. Leave about 1/2 inch of bread lining as the shell. Place pieces in a zip lock bag and the bread shell back into it's plastic bag. When ready to serve, set the bread shell on a tray, fill with the dip, and place the bread pieces around the shell.

Note: you could also use a round loaf of sourdough bread for this.
