My Favorite Easter Ring

1 Box Hot Roll Mix: Follow directions on box & let rise until double in bulk.

While that is rising Mix and set aside:
1 can Apple Pie filling
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp sugar
dots of butter

After dough rises roll into a long rectangle about 12 inches wide x 26 inches long. Spoon the apple mixture down the middle, fold long sides over to enclose filling. Turn over onto cookie sheet with folded edges down and form into a ring. Put dough together at ends. Cut at intervals about 1/2 way to resemble a pinwheel. Let rise about 35 minutes, then bake at 350 degrees F. until it's a light golden brown.

Make a thin icing of 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 1/4 cup milk (more if needed) and 1 tsp. vanilla. When ring is cool drizzle over top.
