ChiChi's Stew

2 lbs. beef cubes
1 onion chopped
1/2 cup chopped celery
4 potatoes, cubed
4 carrots cut chunky
peas if desired
1/2 c. flour
1 T. Gravy Master (in spice section of store)
Bisquick for the dumplings

Flour all the beef that has been salted. Heat pot w/ oil and add floured beef. Brown on one side, turn, add onion & celery, brown. Add enough water to cover 1 inch over meat, about 3 or 4 cups. Cook until meat is tender, then add potatoes & carrots, add more water & stir. Add 1 T. Gravy Master. In a cup, stir 3 T. flour with water, about 1 cup, until no lumps - use a fork or a whisk. Add to stew when everything is tender. Stir. Make Bisquick dumplings according to the directions on the box. Drop on top of stew and cook until done. Taste stew and adjust the salt and pepper.
