Swedish Meatballs

1/2 cup bread crumbs (we have always used fresh bread and not the boxed ones)
1 egg
1 onion diced (we cook the onion a little too before putting into the mixture)
1 tsp sugar
1 cup half and half
1 lb ground round
1/2 lb ground pork
1/2 tsp allspice
salt and pepper to taste

Best to mix and keep in refrigerator for several hours before making into little meat balls. (We usually make the mixture the night before.)
